Are you a candidate for Focal Laser Ablation?

About Prostate Cancer Treatment

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men. Over 200,000 cases are detected every year. In fact, in the United States, it is the most common malignancy and second leading cause of death in men.

Until recently, the spectrum of treatment for early stage prostate cancer treatment included active surveillance at one end of the treatment continuum or more aggressive whole gland treatments (including radical prostatectomy and radiation) on the other end. More aggressive treatments can mean a longer hospital stay and recovery in addition to long term side effects including incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and potential bowel damage. Fortunately, there are new state-of-the-art treatment options that can achieve the goal of freedom from cancer while maintaining quality of life.
